You can't boot an upgrade disk, and get it to install(thus, that error). You have to have vista running, and then put the DVD in the drive. But, it gives you an error. When I boot on it it says that I must upgrade from my existing version - not great as it is corrupted and will not allow it!

It doesn't boot original imports at all, only copies. (This may or may not be important to you.) Also, as you say it doesn't boot DVD game copies without arsing around swapping discs. The Messiah chip will apparently boot everything (including imports), without having to swap, so you're probably best off waiting

This is the only DvD I have with both sides. My player will play both sides of LDs without manually flipping, but I have to flip DvDs. The labeling on the Das Boot DvD is hard to read and wrong - where it says side 1, is really side 2 and visa versa. Yes, the first pressing of "Das Boot" was mislabelled.
