I use BartPE to build the .ISO, and Nero to burn the DVD. The image is buildt by mkisofs.exe; it's not an UDF, it's a Joliet-ISO but it doesn't matter

OK, here is what I do with my SUSE dvd that I burn. First I download the 6 CD's and turn them into an ISO and test it with Parallels. If that works, I burn a DVD and start the installation till just after the reboot to see if it works. I stop that and do the installation from the HD. So I hardly use it at all.

Even if its retail and its ok with the EULA, many things might mess this up.. since xp might just give you a blue screen or struggle trying to load onto the new hardware.. It might work but it might not. You will need to activate again.... anyway... if you have xp on a second disk you can boot the vista dvd,

Lege die Backup-DVD ein und lade mit NTBACKUP dein Betriebssystem mit allen Programmen wieder auf die Platte. Oder aufwändiger: Baue dir mit PEBuilder (http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/) ein Boot-Image von Windows XP. Auf dieser Boot-CD kannst du dann dein Backup und auch NTBACKUP drauf ablegen.
